Sustainable Building Resource Centre

Welcome to the Sustainable Building Resource Centre.

Co-located with the Dorset Centre for Rural Skills, the centre provides a one-stop shop for advice, information and products.  The centre is based in a straw bale house at DCRS and showcases low impact, energy efficient building practice.

Lime products are always in stock and larger quantities can be ordered by the tonne and half tonne and delivered to site.   Just phone us for a quote.  Other sustainable and natural building materials can be purchased through the website and delivered direct to your home or to site.  Product information and prices can be found through the menu on the left.  If you cannot find a specific product, let us know and we will try to source it for you. 

We also give general advice about sustainable building, from constructing your home to powering it.   It's a huge subject to cover, and although we can usually answer your question immediately, we sometimes need to ask one of our specialist contacts. We cannot guarantee that the right person for your query is on site, so we would recommend that you phone or email with your query first.

The Centre is open daily between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
(Or by appointment for early morning, evening or Saturday morning pick-ups).
